The Meatball Shop

How can a meatball be vegetarian? I mean…it’s a ball of meat. Well apparently not always, according to The Meatball Shop. As you might imagine, this place serves nothing but meatballs, including one that is made of green lentils and mushrooms. This veggie balls do not contain meat or any other animal product. I, for one, am thrilled because they are balls good. And hearty. And packed with protein like regular meatballs. And absolutely mind-blowing when paired with Parmesan cream sauce on slider buns. They’re also superbly satisfying when paired with pesto or tomato sauce, greenmarket vegetables and a salad (an item called Everything But the Kitchen Sink). If you feel like you missed out on some childhood experience, try the spaghetti or rigatoni with meatballs. Or be rebellious and have risotto and meatballs (the risotto selections change daily and many of them are vegan). At The Meatball Shop, there are dozens of veggie- and vegan-friendly ways to try these balls of goodness. And if you’ve been watching Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs at night, don’t worry…The Meatball Shop is open until late: 2 A.M. on weekdays and 4 A.M. on weekends.
