The Black Sheep of Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s Black Sheep Pizza is absolutely delicious! The coal fired quality is definitely worth the bus ride from Shau Kei Wan to the beachy, south side of the island. And the eclectic, cozy environment is another great escape from this bustling city, that makes you feel like you’re no longer in South East Asia. The portions are generous and it was super exciting to get not only olives, pesto, butter, but the roasted garlic with the pre-meal bread! It’s not your pizza joint for the meat-lover, instead there’s a great selection of veggie-friendly options like the Magic Mushroom (mozzarella, herbs, and wild mushroom), Salmon Pizza (with ricotta, salmon, and capers), Prawn Pizza, and Vegetarian (tomato with eggplant), among a good selection of salads and a spinach lasagna. This trip was only a pizza excursion, for a crust that was wonderfully thin and crispy, so I can’t speak for the range of main dishes that are served, but if they’re anything like the pizza, then it’s all well worth the culinary travel!
