Tati’ al 28, Rome

Posh foodies in Rome know that if one wants to get delicious food in a chic and modern setting, one goes to Gusto. Posh vegetarians in Rome know that if one wants delicious food in a chic and modern setting, one goes to Tati’ al 28. In actuality, Tati is a remodeled and revamped part of the Gusto empire – a once ground breaking series of establishments located in Piazza Augusto Imperatore (part of the city located away from the tourist areas).  Though Gusto may not exactly be revolutionizing good eats in Rome these days, there is still a lot of buzz surrounding this hotspot, and Tati’ al 28 is getting a good bit of it. The interior space is now completely contemporary in design, and as always, the street side seating is a place to see and be seen. Inside, the long bar hosts both aperitivo and weekend brunches – a combination of mainly seafood and vegetarian dishes that you can serve yourself buffet style. Aside from the chance to rub shoulders along the cool crowd while still maintaining an ethical lifestyle, Tati has one other big benefit: the price. Aperitivo will run you about €10 while brunch will cost you less than €20 a person.
