Lollicup

I’m not going to pretend to be the exhaustive authority on bubble tea, but I do know a few places that never fail to produce perfect bubble tea. Let’s face it: bubble tea doesn’t seem too hard to get right. But surprisingly, I’ve come across undercooked or hard tapioca pearls, too much ice/watery tea, and beverages that just don’t taste good (or have a funky aftertaste). One place that never fails me is Lollicup. The first time I went to this outlet, they had a location on Boston University campus (which sadly is no longer there). It was actually my first time trying bubble tea entirely. I’ve been a Lollicup loyalist ever since. The tea is a perfect level of milky, sweet and strong. The pearls are always perfectly cooked and chewy. And with multiple locations in multiple states, the franchise will surprise you by popping up in the randomest locations including: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Denver. If you’re in Boston, you can find Lollicup at Super 88 near the Brighton border.
