Cheesecake Dip

I love the idea of cheesecake dip for a party. It’s extremely indulgent in flavor, yet it requires no cooking and can be made in 5 minutes. And it encourages healthy habits, too: it’s eggless, pairs great with fruit and can easily be reduced in calories or veganized. It is the perfect dessert for warm weather gatherings.

Cheesecake Dip1

What You Need:
4 oz. (1/2 stick) of cream cheese
1/4 cup sour cream or crème fraiche
2-3 tbsp sugar
1-2 tsp pure vanilla extract

What to Do:
Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor until mixed thoroughly. Taste the mixture and make any adjustments (Hint: for more creaminess, use less sour cream, for more tanginess, add more sour cream). Transfer to a serving bowl and serve with your favorite fruits, graham crackers, cookies or anything else you like.

Substitutions:
Reduced calorie: Use yogurt cheese instead of cream cheese.
Veganized: Use Tofutti brand cream cheese and sour cream. Be sure to use turbinado sugar instead of regular granulated sugar.
